Summary: The author is a TV and documentary producer and has written a collection of short stories and poems. Some are about her personal experiences with moving up within the media world, while others are stories about getting older (menopause, aging and maintaining a beauty standard). Some stories are observations of people (conversations overheard), our society (her love of paper books), and even a child’s diagnosis with Tourette’s. Each story is short but interesting and entertaining.Review: Although I have seen the author’s work, I had never associated it with her. Honestly the title and cover caught my eye when the book was released and as I age myself, I was interested to see what she would say about it. The stories present personal struggles that many women experience (I especially was interested in the stories about women aging and gaining weight [and not being a size 8 anymore], wanting to wear what they felt comfortable in but feeling the need to fit in to their profession, and moving up in the business world). The stories about a family member with dementia and the son with a neurological disorder definitely hit home for me. And the story about Working Mom (WM) vs. the stay at home moms and the cookie sale had me laughing. There are a lot of different stories in here that will make you experience different emotions. Some are very short and remind you of things that may have happened to you, while others are longer and may not be something you’ve experienced yet. The collection was entertaining, but I honestly wasn’t drawn to the book. I sat down daily to read some but didn’t feel the compulsion to continue reading into the night. If you enjoy short stories about women’s experiences, then definitely check this out. You may find yourself in the pages.

All images seem to be pulled from the internet blown up and thrown in this book, you can tell by the different variations of ink around the images. Some images are cut off but there are some nice pictures, just not the best quality printing. Not the best adult book and definitely not at the current price, better off in a dollar store, ite at the most half the cost. I bought three different Sailor Moon coloring books and all were the same. There were some of the same images in each book as well. I am reviewing all three so you can find more pictures of the different books on their item page.
Love this it’s great it takes markers well (alcohol and water based). I have only used my prismacolor pencils but they lay down as well. If you need a flip through go to The affordable colorists on YouTube. This book has pictures from sailor moon and sailor moon S.
It’s not bad and I get one user’s comment about being something copied from the internet. Really it’s fine unless you are looking for some original art. I got this for a 4 year old so it’s more than perfect. I’d say it’s perfect for children or preteens. Unless you can find something cheaper locally, this is a good deal.
While the majority of these coloring pages are cute and my daughter likes them, I can't help but notice that several images are somewhat pixelated. This leads me to believe that some of these pictures -- if not all -- were probably found online for free. Still, my daughter doesn't seem to notice or to mind these slight defects and the book itself was pretty affordable. I still would like to see the price drop to $5 or under if these images are in fact free pictures found online.
For a $6 coloring book, I'm pretty pleased. No, there's no "new" content. Yes, they're "decolorized" versions of existing anime pictures. Yes, there's at least one duplicate image, albeit mirrored. But at the end of the day, it's Sailor Moon, which I know and love, and I like that it gives me the opportunity to color my own versions of the pictures we know and love. The paper seems decent quality and I'm excited to try it out.
Wonderful Sailor Moon coloring book! Very nice inside and the paper isn’t that cheap old coloring book paper that doesn’t take multiple layers, this is a nice smooth surface and I used multiple layers of prisma colored pencils and it took beautifully.
This coloring book is so cute! I love Sailor moon so much and this is great. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Sailormoon coloring book before so this is definitely a nice edition for me.

The downloadable material is also excellent for practicing vocabulary, but it won't replace proper instruction in understanding the tones of the language--which are of utmost importance when learning Chinese!
This is a delightful easy to understand book filled with helpful pictures. My daughter is adopted from China and I bought this book when my teenage son & daughter went to visit China a few years ago. My daughter now finds this book helpful once again for her Chinese language college class.
If you are a beginner than books and DVD's made for children are really the best route. You have to start at the beginning.
Of course, no one learns Mandarin in 10 minutes a day. I'm sure no one really expects to. Used in conjunction with other methods that emphasize the sound of the language, however, this is a very good resource for basic phrases and vocabulary.
Was recommended by my son's Mandarin instructor. My 1st grade boy loves to work on the CD-rom items but the book itself is over his head. I was disappointed that the stickers that accompanied the book were not Mandarin symbols/figures by pinyin.
As a teacher of Mandarin, a subject for which there are few good textbooks, I employ this as a supplementary text for my students when parents ask "are there any other books out their my child could be using for extra help?"
