This is a much better instant recipe book than any others I’ve seen. Each recipe gives directions for both instant pot and slow cooker. There are also nice color pictures for each recipe. Easy to follow and yummy results of the recipes I’ve tried so far.

I would recommend this book for people of strong aqeedah willing to look at other opinions religiously. The author doesn't seem to push one idea over the other usually but rather she asks us what we value as believers in Islam? Are we trying to put gender equality in places it isn't? Are we overlooking areas that were assumed to be sexist, but really aren't?'Feminist Edges of the Quran' helped me understand other opinions on translations, tafsir, etc. that are not as mainstream. Literally taking a look at the "edges" of Islamic thought and discerning different ideas. It's also generally well-written.
More of a scholarly read. Takes time to understand.
Apologies for writing before I finish the book, but I am delighted by the promise of the project. 30 years ago I was challenged, "There are no Muslim feminists. Name one." I came up with quite a number; the point was that highly educated non-Muslims in the west, until recently, could not get over this particularly ugly aspect of Islamophobia: the religion is male, the community is made up of men, and women are a kind of growth on Islam's side that has to be managed by men. Not true! Still an uphill struggle, but books like this help to shake it up. Muslim women are historically powerful in scholarship and society, and today they are interpreting the sacred texts in new ways.
I found the book to be a very helpful overview and consideration of Islamic feminist writings. The author is bold and considerate in her approach. The only shortcoming for me lay in the final section where she expands on her own thesis - the chapters seem somewhat condensed. The work might have benefited, I think, if more space was devoted to the argument to acknowledge and recognize Quranic references to gender differences - and being able to move forward despite such an acknowledgement. It would have been interesting to hear some of the possibilities/hypotheses the author has in mind regarding this way forward. A more detailed explanation of the relevance of Ibn ArabI's rhetoric might also have been illuminating.

Patrick Graupp began his training career at the Sanyo Electric Corporate Training Center in Japan after graduating with highest honors from Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1980. There he learned to deliver Training Within Industry (TWI) from his mentor Kazuhiko Shibuya. Mr. Shibuya was trained by Kenji Ogawa, who was trained by the four TWI, Inc. trainers sent from the United States to help Japan rebuild industry in 1951. Patrick earned an MBA from Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts, while leading Sanyo’s global training effort. He was later promoted to the head of human resources for Sanyo North America Corp. in San Diego, California, where he settled.Patrick partnered with Bob Wrona in 2001 to conduct TWI pilot projects in Syracuse, New York, that became the foundation for the TWI Institute, which has since trained a rapidly expanding global network of more than 1000 certified trainers who are now delivering TWI training in the manufacturing, health care, construction, energy, and service industries in the United States and around the globe. The first edition of their book The TWI Workbook: Essential Skills for Supervisors was a Shingo Research and Professional Publication Prize Recipient for 2007. Robert J.
