This textbook was required for one of my graduate classes. It's one of the few books I've kept as a reference. Ended up using it for several more classes and have cited it in numerous research papers. The text layout looks dense, but it's easy to read. Includes updated teaching approaches and distance learning considerations. Incorporates various teaching/learning theories, but emphasizes student responsibility for the learning process. Am glad I was introduced to this author.
Just got this and love it. Every sentence, paragraph, section, chapter speaks to what I do every day and help me gain insight, clarity, and ideas on how to do things better. I just got this yesterday and have read more of it than any of the dozens of books I've purchased in the last year. If you teach nursing (clinical or classroom) this is very useful.

I am doing all the research I can prior to adding a hedgie to our family of pets. I purchased this book to help me with the information I will need in order to be a successful quill-kid parent. This book is very well written and explicit concerning the proper care of your hedgehog. It contains everything from chosing the correct breeder (don't buy from a pet shop) to trimming nails and everything in between. I am a children's librarian and would definitely consider adding this book to our collection. The book is taliored to adults but can easily be understood by a child at a 5th grade reading level.I recommend this well written volume to anyone who is thinking of adding this exotic pet to the family. Thank you Kate for a well written read.
I think that this book is very informational and also easy to understand. It tells you all the basics for hedgehog ownership and I highly recommend it. I think that this book is better than the other two that I downloaded with it; they said it was okay to feed hedgies dairy!I have read this book twice and plan to read it again when I get my hedgehog in December. The only thing that I don't like about this eBook is that it doesn't give you as many examples as I would have liked. For instance, it didn't say anything about Carolina Storm wheels in the bucket wheels section, which is definitely a mistake.All in all, this was an amazing read and would give it ten stars if I could.
You can find all of this information online. Probably all on one website alone (which she references in this book).There is a grand total of 6 pictures in this book. One of them is on the cover the rest are black and white on the chapter headings.The font is huge and double spaced. Which is great if your eyesight isn't. But if you're expecting 158 pages of information it really is more like 79.
This was an easy read. I like that it has large font and a more informal "speech". I would have liked some colored photos to go along with instructions on how to bathe or trim nails on my hedgehog and just cute hedgie pics overall. Not as informative and full of specific facts as "A Complete Pet Owner's Manual: Hedgehogs" but it did have some helpful tips and advise that the other book did not have such as what Hedgehog brand foods are actually good if you can find them and what to do to keep your hedgie warm if you're taking him on a long car ride in a pet carrier.
I like this book and find the information useful. There are some things that the book mentions that I don't agree with (This is since I do other research other than one book) but other than that I find a lot of things helpful and it is a good idea to have a book like this when getting your first Hedgie.
If you want this, then just get the kindle version. I was thinking there were more pictures, etc, but it is pretty much just words and looks like what you would see on the kindle screen. Good and informative, but unless you need a hard copy the kindle version would be fine.
It contains info to help you start out but I dont think this book is the book you want if your serious about hedgehog ownership. It really does have limited info.
This book has helped me understand how to care for my hedgehog, it matches with what the breeder has told me and helps immensely!

Although this is no novel, it is laid-out in clear sections and allows for continual reading in each era of biblical times.For instance, you can take a tour of the time of Abraham and learn of the geography, houses, religions, foods, agriculture, tools and many other such things that were pertinent to that era and less so as time progressed. I was looking for good details on the DSP instruction set. The book devotes about 10 pages to the DSP instructions without sufficient depth for you to be able to code your own FIR filters. The Microchip libraries are mentioned but i want to learn the basics. On the plus side is good coverage of the peripherals and interrupts with special attention to the A/D converter setup. There is much in the book that strikes me as padding. Pages of code listing and quite a bit on data communications which is not dspic specific. Basic DSP processing is included for the novice.All in all a hobbyist level book although a very good one for that level.For the next edition i want in depth discussion of the DSP core with the address generation and details on coding the basic structure FIR filter in assembly. Put the code examples on the disk not in the text. Less on basic sensors and interfacing and more efficient hardware usage. Note its also very useful for the pic24 series.If you are beginning the pic24 or DSpic series this is a $70.00 book. But not if you want internal details of the DSP core.
This is an introductory text on making sensors "intelligent". It meets that need well.This book is not a text on DSP. If you need a text book on DSP, get a DSP text book.This is not a text on PIC microcontrollers. There are several from introductory to advanced in print.

Great for my granddaughter who loves anything slime
Bought it for the neighbor kids. Looks like fun. Don't know if they made any yet. Will try to update when they tell me they made some.
I got this for my sister for Christmas and she loves it! The slime is actually slime like and it doesn’t taste terrible like most edible slime recipes.
My daughter was so upset when we tried several of these recipes and NONE OF THEM WORK! Not to mention, we spent lots of money buying the ingredients. VERY frustrating!!!!!
These ingredients are very unhealthy. One was a bag of marshmallows, chocolate. What I am saying is that can you use more heathy edible slimes.
If you want to make your child happy with an original toy, then you can make an edible slime. It is made from the usual candies, Nutella and marshmallows. All you need to do is buy this book of recipes and spend some time and effort, mixing the ingredients. The result will surprise you and your kids, it looks gorgeous and tasty and it doesn’t take much time to make it and you even can have some fun making it together with your kiddos.
