I'm sorry, but I am really disappointed in what I received today. I didn't expect a huge cook book because it is just a drink recipe book. However, this barely seems like more than some pages run off a copy machine with a color cover. It is barely 4mm thick cover and all. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but I had a difficult time choosing a book and don't know what drew me to this one in the end. I purchased this as part of a Christmas gift for my 13 yr old who likes to cook. It is adequate to give to her but it also seems like she could have written it. The first recipe says, "First, put the pearls in a glass. Second, mix remaining ingredients in a cocktail blender until mixture is smooth. Third, put into the glass. Serve." REALLY? Where do you explain how to cook the tapioca? How long can you store them once cooked? These are things that would be included in a well written and thought out book. In the second recipe the 5th step is to pour the cooled tea over the pearls, but the second part of the line of instruction is to "cook the boba pearls according to the instruction." There is more than one grammatical error in that 5th step alone and cooking the pearls should have been done prior to making the tea you are pouring over them. Sadly, it is not a well done book. I will likely still give it to my daughter as part of her gift, but I will be looking for something better when I have time to page through a book in person at a book store. If you would like to give this book a try I suggest not spending money on a physical copy. Buy an electronic version.

It took too long to find directions for cooking boba. Recipes sound good but badly written and not consistent. I prefer more organized format for recipes
